The Singapore Press Holdings produces one million newspapers daily and more than five million magazine copies annually. They publish in four languages, and are responsible for producing more than 100 magazine titles locally and in the region. With the use of the RFID system, the significant amount of paper rolls required for printing can be tracked efficiently.

The Paper Roll Tracking & Inventory System (PRTIS) is an integration between the current printing press system and the RFID system. Each paper roll is equipped with an RFID core to allow accurate consumption count and accountability of the paper rolls during the printing process. The paper rolls in inventory can now be accurately counted and efficiently traced.
